Tips for dealing with hiatal hernia
• Don’t lie down after you eat Try to wait at least 3 hours before taking a nap or going to bed for the night.
• Don’t exercise right after eating. Walking is fine, but wait 2 to 3 hours before strenuous exercise.
• Don’t wear tight- fitting clothes. They put extra pressure on your stomach.
• Relax. Stress slows down the digestion, which makes acid reflux worse. Try deep breathing, yoga, or meditation to deal with daily stress.
